This event is not just about indulging in the culinary delights of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, but also about supporting the local community and a noble cause.
The "Bucks County Eat, Drink and Be Merry Month" is organized to benefit the Kin Wellness and Support Center, a local organization dedicated to supporting cancer patients and their caregivers. During the event, patrons can order a designated appetizer, entrée, drink, or dessert from participating restaurants and bar partners. A percentage of their order will go directly to Kin, providing much-needed support for local cancer patients and their caregivers.
This event is a fantastic opportunity for Bucks County residents to enjoy some of the best food and drink offerings in Bucks County while supporting local businesses and the cancer community at Kin. As Keith Fenimore, Kin founding member and executive director, said, "People can eat, drink and be merry while both supporting local businesses and our cancer community at Kin."
The event organizers are currently seeking the most popular restaurants and bars across Bucks County to join the event. Participating locations will be listed on the event's dedicated webpage at www.welcometokin.org, complete with a logo and a hyperlink to their business. As a visual indicator, all participating locations will receive a partnership decal to display on the window of their business, as well as branded table tents.
Several businesses have already confirmed their partnership, including Ardana Food and Drink, KC Prime, Ardana Pizza Co., The Good Gyro, The Hattery, Penn Taproom, Nat’s Pizzeria, Quinoa, Karla’s Restaurant, Coaches Steak and Hoagie House, and Spuddy Buddy Fry Factory. Mike Christou and his family have chosen to include all of their restaurants in the month-long event.
Christou expressed his excitement, saying, "Our entire staff is excited to participate in Eat, Drink, and Be Merry Month for Kin! Our chefs get to come up with a few seasonal menu items, and our servers get to tell the story of Kin while selling those new items. It's a great way to get everyone engaged in the fundraiser!”
The concept of the event was inspired by the success of the "Bucks County Spa and Salon Self Care Month." The goal is to bring the community together and shine a light on local businesses through fundraising efforts while creating compelling collaborations, events, and programs that everyone can enjoy.
The motivation behind this event is to raise funds to help as many locals battling cancer as possible.
